Provide conscious sedation; short-term care and treatment for critically ill patients during intra-hospital transport for diagnostic tests and procedures and during on-unit procedures or emergencies.
Current Michigan licensure as a Registered Nurse. Minimum five (5) years nursing experience including adult/pediatric critical care with experience in at least two (2) of the following areas: Adult ICU, Pediatric ICU, Flight Nurse, CSR ICU Float, ED. Ability to demonstrate independent decision making in the care of a wide variety of patients, including but not limited to hemodynamically unstable patients, critically ill pediatric/neonatology patients airway or respiratory compromised patients; wound care including dressing changes, acute trauma and multi system organ failure patients. Demonstrated outstanding interpersonal skills as evidenced by feedback from others/evaluation. ACLS, PALS, NRP at least one of the three, with certification of the remaining two within six (6) months of hire.
