Join us and start doing your life's best work.(sm) The Director, Risk Adjustment Support, will be the liaison between technical product development teams and other business departments to ensure that Risk Adjustment application functions necessary to perform daily operational processes for WellMed, and associated partners, occurs in a timely and efficient manner. The Director leads a team that is accountable to the business for the development and maintenance of Risk Adjustment software applications in alignment with the vision of the organization and CMS requirements. The Director ensures that the development and support of the product is derived with the engagement of all key stakeholders. Primary Responsibilities: Provides long - range planning and oversight of Risk Adjustment product application development to ensure activities are appropriately integrated into the strategic direction, as well as the mission and values, of the company Develops policies and procedures for system, application and related operational processes in order to ensure optimization and compliance with established standards and regulations internally at WellMed and externally with CMS or other regulating body Provides short range trouble shooting for day - to - day issues and ongoing maintenance with Risk Adjustment applications and reporting Makes recommendations as needed to ensure reliability of the product and finds innovative solutions if problems should occur Leads efforts involving clinical, operations and quality teams with application, reporting and business analysis projects Manages product lifecycle for Risk Adjustment products from strategic product planning to tactical activities and provides constructive information to minimize problems and increase customer satisfaction Works with product development teams to define and schedule the priorities of each release using a documented plan to ensure Risk Adjustment products are able to meet business demands Measures the success and impact of product releases Evaluates the team performance overall, to provide performance management and establish the delivery of top tier services and products to the client Provides employee coaching, counseling and evaluation of performance through periodic and annual reviews Performs all other related duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Information Systems or Computer Science or related field (8 or more years of Medicare Advantage Risk Adjustment experience may be substituted in lieu of a bachelor's degree.) Minimum five years of experience in the health care industry Minimum two years of supervisory experience Minimum three years of experience with software product management Strong knowledge and understanding of data bases and related reporting technologies Ability to effectively report data, analyze facts and exercise sound judgment when making recommendations to members of the Senior Leadership Team Ability to analyze problems, draw relevant conclusions, develop processes and communicate statuses and results Strong business acumen; quantitative and qualitative analytical skills Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills Preferred Qualifications: Three - four years of supervisory experience Medicare Risk Adjustment experience Medical terminology, medical records background, managed care / practice management experience Careers with WellMed.
